Before all that, though, he produced remixes for the foundational disco label, Salsoul. Mastermixes is the first time that they all have been collected in one place. And pretty much everything here is essential: Loleatta Holloway’s “Love Sensation,” Leroy Burgess’ “Heartbreaker” and First Choice’s “Let No Man Put Asunder,” I mean.
